My story

I wrote my college essay about a calculator. A TI-84, to be exact. I like to think that was a first for the admissions office.

I’ve always believed the best stories are often hidden in the moments we overlook. The ordinary things. The everyday conversations. The objects, memories, and experiences that quietly shape who we are.

As a published author, I’ve built an entire book around finding meaning in those moments - turning the mundane into something memorable and deeply human. That same perspective is what inspired The Narrative Bureau.

I love hearing people’s stories: what drives them, what makes them unique, and the moments that have quietly shaped them into who they are. Sometimes students don’t need a completely different story - they just need help recognizing the power in the one they already have.
